Carnival Cruise Magic Review

Carnival Cruise Magic

The Carnival Cruise Magic is one of the big boys, with room onboard for 3,690 passengers and 1,367 crew. Coming in at 1004 feet, this mega ship offers travellers all of the fun that Carnival is known for, and then some. She calls Galveston, TX home and travels year round to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean on 3 different itineraries.

The Carnival Cruise Magic offers vacationers plenty to do while onboard, including the adults only Serenity deck, the Seaside Theater, 2 water slides, the Ocean Plaza, and a beautiful 2 deck spa. Kids will love the first at-sea water dump bucket while adults will love the first pub at sea that features its very own private label beer. The RedFrog Pub is styled in the laid back Caribbean way and is just one place to enjoy a cold one while onboard. The Cucina Del Capitano is a must for authentic Italian cuisine while the Cherry on Top doubles as a candy store and a tuxedo rental outfit. For the more adventurous, there is SportsSquare, where you can partake in the first ever ropes course at sea, and a 2 level mini golf course, and many other sporty pursuits, or you can simply sit and sun on one of the many decks.

New on the Carnival Cruise Magic is the Cove Balcony Staterooms that have room for a whole family or large group that wishes to stay together, these are spacious and include two bathrooms for convenience. Not many cabins out of her selection have obstructed views, though several do have portholes instead of windows. There are some cabins with picture windows for lovely light that have views of the outside walkway, and are located toward the fore of the ship. She boasts 14 elevators in total that are divided into 3 distinct sets, some in the middle and some at the fore and aft of the ship so all cabins have great elevator access.

Your Carnival Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Magic can take two different routes. Cruise deals from Galveston can be had on each of them which include a 7-day jaunt to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel from just $499pp., or the trip that includes stops in Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel, starting at just $539pp.

The other of Carnival Cruises from Galveston sets sail for the Eastern Caribbean with stops in Key West, FL, Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas. This cruise starts at just $519pp.

Carnival cruise ships offer value for the money and truly live up to their ‘fun ship’ name. Carnival Cruise Magic is no exception, travelling year round to the sunny Caribbean from the lovely port of Galveston.
